Description
Penstrepto is a broad-spectrum antibacterial injectable suspension containing Penicillin G Procaine and Dihydrostreptomycin Sulphate. The combination of these two antibiotics provides effective activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and is used for the treatment of various bacterial infections in cattle, horses, pigs, sheep, and goats.
Composition
Each 1 ml injectable suspension contains:
Penicillin G Procaine – 200,000 IU
Dihydrostreptomycin Sulphate – 200 mg
Target Species
Cattle, horses, pigs, sheep, and goats.
Indications for Use
The product is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to Penicillin and Dihydrostreptomycin.

Dosage and Administration
Shake well before use.
Administer by intramuscular injection.
Cattle, Horses, Pigs, Sheep and Goats
1 ml per 25 kg body weight
Once daily
For 3 consecutive days
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to Penicillin, Dihydrostreptomycin, or any component of the product.
Do not use during the last trimester of pregnancy, as it may cause premature parturition or fetal loss.
Adverse Reactions
Allergic reactions
Pain and local irritation at the injection site
Tissue reactions following intramuscular or subcutaneous administration
Special Warnings
The maximum volume administered at a single injection site should not exceed:
Cattle and horses: 20 ml
Pigs: 10 ml
Sheep, goats, and calves: 5 ml
Use with caution in animals with kidney disease or impaired renal function.
Do not exceed the recommended dosage or duration of treatment.
In cases of allergic reactions or anaphylactic shock, administer adrenaline, glucocorticoids, and antihistamines.
Interactions with Other Medicinal Products
Concurrent use is not recommended with:
Macrolides
Tetracyclines
Chloramphenicol
Theophylline
Other antibiotics
Pregnancy and Lactation
The product may be used in pregnant and lactating animals.
However, vaginal discharge has been reported in pregnant sows and breeding sows, which may be associated with the risk of abortion.
Withdrawal Period

Meat: 18 days
Milk: 3 days
Presentation
100 ml injectable suspension supplied in a clear glass vial, tightly sealed with a rubber stopper, aluminum cap, and tamper-evident plastic flip-off cap. Packed in a cardboard box.
Storage Conditions
Store in the original tightly closed package.
Store in a dry, dark, and cool place.
Store below 30°C.
Keep out of reach of children.
Shelf life: 3 years.
