Composition:
Each bolus contains: Oxyclozanide 3000 mg
Excipients: Potato starch, lactose, polyethylene glycol 6000, polyvinylpyrrolidone, talc, magnesium stearate, aerosil
Form of Release:
60 boluses in a polyethylene container
Description:
White, yellowish, or cream-colored boluses, marked with "F" on one side and "BIO" on the other.
Pharmacological Properties:
Oxyclozanide, from the salicylanilide group, disrupts the phosphorylation cycle, decreases ATP levels, leading to metabolic dysfunction in helminths and subsequent death of the parasite.
Absorption of oxyclozanide is slow; therapeutic plasma concentration is achieved within 24 hours after oral administration. It is excreted mainly through feces.
Indications for Use:
The product is used for treating cattle affected by fascioliasis, esophagostomiasis, dictyocaulosis, paramphistomiasis, and monieziasis.
Dosage and Administration:
Administer orally, individually or in groups, mixed with feed:
For fascioliasis, esophagostomiasis, dictyocaulosis: 1 bolus per 350 kg of body weight
For paramphistomiasis, monieziasis: 1 bolus per 200 kg of body weight
Contraindications:
Not recommended during the first trimester of pregnancy in cattle.
Side Effects:
No side effects observed if dosed correctly.
Withdrawal Period:
Meat: 14 days after the last administration
Milk: 24 hours after the last administration
Storage Conditions:
Store in a dry place, protected from light, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.
Shelf Life: 3 years
